Yes, I know Facebook has been around a long time, but has anyone notice how it's just suddenly caught on like CRAZY??? Is it the new widgets like Twitter and the marketplace?
My man's all but addicted -- he's from Canada and it seems that 90% of Toronto's under 40 set is active on Facebook. All my London friends seem to be on there frequently, too, but it looks like my US friends are still relying on Classmates.
Has anyone (besides Jane) found Facebook useful for business? If so, please add to the discussion!
That's some post. It's amazing to get the Andreesen-view on these things -- those are aspects of Facebook's success I never would have considered. I'd love to hear what everyone else thinks.
Not a big fan of Facebook nor MySpace. Discovered this site(Ning) from this month's Business 2.0 magazine July 07, pg 56. CEO, Gina Bianchini of Ning is listed as one of the TOP 50 most influential people in the tech biz #48. I have only one other networking or social website I find useful and worthwhile- LinkedIn.
I use Facebook a bit. Yahoo! plans on buying Facebook. That's a pretty smart move being as MySpace is so fast growing it actually might overtake Yahoo as the most visited site on the internet in year or so. So having social networking will be good for Yahoo!'s network.
I like LinkedIn for job searches and professional networking.
